PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.
In Their Best Interest offers a range of programs and services aimed at supporting parents and children fleeing from family violence. Our services include emergency housing, counseling, legal advocacy, and more. We work to ensure that families have access to the resources they need to rebuild their lives and thrive.
Emergency Housing
Our emergency housing program provides safe and secure temporary housing for families fleeing from family violence. We work with a network of community partners to ensure that families have access to stable and secure housing during times of crisis.
Counseling
Our counseling program offers a range of services to help families heal and recover from the trauma of family violence. We provide individual and group counseling sessions, as well as therapy for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
Legal Advocacy
Our legal advocacy program provides support and guidance to families navigating the legal system. We work with families to help them understand their rights and options, and connect them with legal resources and representation as needed.
Education & Training
In Their Best Interest offers educational resources and training programs to help families and communities better understand the dynamics of family violence and how to prevent it. We provide workshops, training sessions, and educational materials to schools, community groups, and other organizations.
Policy Advocacy
We advocate for systemic reform to protect families and children from family violence. We work with lawmakers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to promote policies and practices that support victims and hold perpetrators accountable.
Research & Evaluation
Through our research and evaluation programs, we seek to better understand the causes and impacts of family violence, and identify effective strategies for prevention and intervention. We collaborate with academics, researchers, and other experts to conduct studies and evaluations that inform our work and the work of others in the field.
